Your initial consultation is free

How It Works

We start with an initial meeting either at your premises or over a cup of coffee. This is where we discuss your requirements and I can get a little understanding about your business.

We discuss how and when you need your bookkeeping completed and which reports will suit you, tailoring all the requirements to suit your business.

Following our meeting you will receive a completely obligation free quote. Once you are satisfied, I will ask you to read and sign a Letter of Engagement which will detail responsibilities of both parties to ensure a smooth working relationship, such as: tasks, duration of working time, fees, payment terms, etc.

You will not be tied into a long term contract more of a rolling periodic agreement so whether it’s a few hours, one day a week or one day per month, you will not be committing indefinitely. This will also help with any budgeting you may have.

All work can be carried out at your premises or off-site. Additional support is part of the package either by phone or email. I will keep you up to date on all aspects of your financial matters including: HMRC imposed deadlines, changes to legislation, etc.

Pricing

The price I quote is the price you pay. This is a fixed fee, documented in the agreement and reviewed annually.

Prices quoted will include time for agreed meetings as well as collection of paperwork as necessary and regular communications between us.

Software

There are several software packages available for managing your accounts.

With the current legislation about to change for all businesses above the VAT threshold, online software will be a necessity. I can either work with the package you have in place at the moment (assuming it is cloud based) or I can purchase Quickbooks Online on your behalf at a reduced rate and include it in your package. This usually works out cheaper.

Cloud software gives us both the ability to access your accounts wherever you have an internet connection and gives the ability to share certain documents that may be needed securely, especially important now with the GDPR that came into law on 25th May 2018. This also reduces the need for constant meetings between us, again saving precious time.

Anti-Money Laundering Regulations & the General Data Protection Regulations

I am regulated and licenced by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and as such am required to follow strict guidelines on money laundering, data protection and professional conduct.

Under these regulations you will be required to provide two forms of ID – one of which must have a photograph and the other must provide a valid address; a copy of the VAT registration document; a copy of the certificate of incorporation, as necessary.

These are kept on file in a secure format for the life our working relationship and a further 6 years after termination. These will only be available for inspection purposes.

Time is a luxury, it's non-refundable. Don’t waste it.
